And like you say, as long as everyone knows what they are there's no problem really!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00603532357518350194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8352595594411564975.post-6844642436465008532015-06-30T15:53:29.193-07:002015-06-30T15:53:29.193-07:00Completely agree that 100% WYSIWYG is unnecessary....Completely agree that 100% WYSIWYG is unnecessary. I've been making some 1:72 DBA hoplites up. Lots of these models have swords, and I've swapped a few for spears because they are supposed to be "Spears", but I'm only aiming for at least 50% with spears in any given element. It's pretty obvious what they are. If you put all the correct ones in the front rank that helps to flag up what they are supposed to be.Scalenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07686644105089579423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8352595594411564975.post-66168924654563753462015-05-02T06:40:27.885-07:002015-05-02T06:40:27.885-07:00Hi! Like I mentioned in the reply i just left above, I think I'd personally run with a 75% minimum on how troops are armed. There is a lot to be said for WYSIWYG when it comes for ease of play, and also it is a bit daft to call bow armed troops flagellants, for example. But I wouldn't stress over every single figure. So no saying a sword and shield unit is armed with greatswords, or bows. I like the 75% suggestion mentioned in the book.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00603532357518350194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8352595594411564975.post-39131328572115222222015-05-02T06:30:27.019-07:002015-05-02T06:30:27.019-07:00Depends in 25/28mm I run strictly WYSIWYG without ...Depends in 25/28mm I run strictly WYSIWYG without fail even in WhFB3 as it all adds to the visual effect and allows oneself to get sucked into the setting without worring about what that unit is and armed with when a quick look will do.. For smaller scales and particular mutli-basing I quite like the mixed unit look and little dioramas in the units as it makes them look for interesting and again allows me to get sucked in.plus ins maller scales you tend to have to tell people what everything is anyway so WYSISWYG doesn't tend too matter.Chico Dankshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16209424634551876747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8352595594411564975.post-39272175109751904602015-05-02T04:04:39.204-07:002015-05-02T04:04:39.204-07:00Oooh, controversial! 😊 Totally agree with the old...Oooh, controversial! 😊 Totally agree with the oldhammer way of doing things though.
